The Medical Training (Prioritisation) Act, emergency legislation designed to prioritise graduates from UK medical schools for foundation and specialty training posts, has gained Royal Assent.
The bill to prioritise UK medical graduates for NHS training has been passed to the House of Lords, but the BMA says it alone ‘won't solve the jobs crisis’.
Medical graduates from the UK and Ireland will be prioritised for training places under new legislation introduced by the Government.
