The Transforming PRH Hub was launched by SaTH Charity in collaboration with the League of Friends of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital, and Lingen Davies charities.

Jo Williams, chief executive of SaTH, said: ‘We are really grateful to all our charitable partners who will be supporting this new hub. This welcoming space, at the entrance of PRH, will help us to continue to build relationships and trust with our patients, visitors and staff who use and work in our hospital every day. We have exciting plans to transform Princess Royal Hospital, to become a thriving centre of excellence for our local communities.'

The hospital's multi-million pound investment plans include state-of-the-art respiratory and cancer services.

The Lingen Davies Charity will be regularly using the hub to gather support for their £5m Sunflower Appeal to grow cancer care locally. This will be done through the creation of a Lingen Davies Chemotherapy Centre in PRH, which will be up and running by 2029.
