Patients with long-term conditions will be automatically referred to specialist charities at the point of diagnosis, under a new service unveiled by the government.

Nearly half of NHS staff (47%) say their job is negatively affecting their mental health, a slight decrease on last year’s figure of 50%, new research reveals.
