ICB appoints chief strategy and planning officer

Alex Heritage has been appointed chief strategy and planning officer of Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB.

He previously worked at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust as chief strategy officer and has also served as chief executive officer at the NHS Transformation Unit.

Most recently, he was chief strategy and transformation officer at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

A Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB spokesperson said: ‘Alex has built his career across local government and the NHS, with a strong focus on strategy, transformation and system working.

‘Alex brings deep experience in leading large-scale change and building joined-up services across organisations. In his role at the ICB, he leads strategic planning and supports partners to deliver better outcomes for communities across Lancashire and South Cumbria.'
