The healthcare facility, which was completed on time and budget with building partner Actiform, was delivered through a long-term managed service partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.

David Craig, CDC director for Somerset, commented: ‘This milestone also marks the successful conclusion of Somerset's diagnostic transformation programme. I am incredibly proud of what the team has achieved and, most importantly, of the impact it will have for local people. Through the programme, we have delivered an additional 877,608 diagnostic tests for the population of Somerset.'

Mark Graves, chief executive of Ergéa UK, said: ‘The Bridgwater community diagnostic centre highlights what can be achieved when healthcare providers and industry partners work together with a shared vision. We are proud to have supported Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in delivering a modern, high-quality facility that will enhance the patient experience and help relieve pressure on acute hospital sites.'
