As part of the new Dargavel Village development, the healthcare facility is funded by a partnership between NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC), Renfrewshire HSCP, and Hub West Scotland.

The new facility will complement the existing health centre in Bishopton, which was refurbished in 2022 and will serve both the residents of Old Bishopton and New Dargavel.

Dr Lesley Thomson KC, chair of NHSGGC, said: ‘This project, along with others, is central to our commitment to delivering the highest quality, person-centred and locally based care.'

The centre is part of BAE Systems' wider transformation programme of Dargavel Village and was facilitated by a £1m financial contribution from BAE Systems.

The new healthcare will feature five consulting rooms, one treatment room, four multiuse rooms, and one community room.
