Welsh health board appoints executive director of workforce and organisational development

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has selected Debbie Eyitayo as its new executive director of workforce and organisational development.

Eyitayo joins the health board from Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Health Board where she held the role of chief people officer.

Prior to that she had roles as executive director of workforce and organisational development at Swansea Bay University Health Board and executive director of people at Epsom and St Helier Hospitals NHS Trust.

Carol Shillabeer, chief executive at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, said: ‘Debbie will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to support and develop our workforce, and help the health board to build a strong, sustainable foundation for delivering patient care for the future.'

Eyitayo is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

She will start in her new role in early February.
