Students are creating evidence-based practical resources - including blogs, social media content, behaviour‑change tips and physical activity guidance - for a dedicated Collabor8well platform used by Everyone Health customers and private subscribers.
Dr Rowley said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to apply their learning in a real‑world setting and make a meaningful impact. Most GLP‑1 users currently take these medications without any behavioural support, even though research shows habits like moving more, eating better and improving sleep are essential for sustaining weight loss once the drugs stop. This project fills that gap and gives students valuable applied experience they can showcase on their CVs.'
The World Health Organization recommends GLP‑1 medications are paired with behaviour change support to bolster long‑term success.
As part of the initiative Dr Rowley will join a new multidisciplinary working group led by Everyone Health, bringing together physical activity specialists, dietitians, behaviour change experts, commissioners, web designers, stop smoking practitioners and healthcare professionals.
