Trust stands down critical incident

A critical incident has been stood down at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The critical incident was stood down on 3 June after being declared on 2 June.

A spokesperson for the trust said: ‘While this is a positive step, our services remain very busy with sustained high demand for our services. We ask our local community to continue to support us by choosing the most appropriate NHS service for your needs.'

The critical incident was declared due to sustained and significant pressure on services with the trust seeing a high number of people attending A&E, along with a lack of available beds in inpatient wards.
