NHS North London Foundation Trust marks the merger between two mental health trusts: Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

A trust spokesperson said: ‘We have huge ambitions for the new trust and are really excited to take this next step, bringing together the best of the former Barnet, Enfield and Haringey and Camden and Islington Mental Health Trusts.

‘Our commitment is that we will continue to work closely with our service users, carers, our staff, governors and local partners, to help us achieve our Vision of ‘Better Mental Health, Better Lives and Better Communities' for local people. We are convinced that our new NLFT will help us in providing great care for those we serve and in providing great places to work for our staff.

‘We are grateful to everyone internally and externally for their support in helping us to get to this point and we look forward to delivering improved services for local people across North London as the new North London NHS Foundation Trust.'
