The simulation, which is run by management consultancy and social enterprise PPL, with support from Optum, Feedback Medical and NHS Providers, builds on the success and learnings of the first ever simulation of the neighbourhood health service, held in London in June this year

Claire Kennedy and Simon Morioka, joint chief executives of PPL, said: ‘It has been a pleasure to work with NHS Providers, Optum and Feedback Medical, colleagues in health local government and the voluntary sector, and patients and residents themselves in the design and development of the neighbourhood health simulation in Manchester.

‘This is a hugely welcome opportunity to build on previous learning, including around the potential of neighbourhood health to make a real-world difference to people's health, wellbeing and the overall sustainability of our health and care systems on a national stage, and, with the opportunity to support further development of this critical agenda.

‘The simulation is a chance for everyone to glimpse a better future. It has been a pleasure to bring together top expertise and lived experience to generate the quantitative and qualitative data and insights to accelerate progress towards that future.'
