McCoy has more than 29 years' experience across the third and business sectors. She has delivered inclusive, person-centred services for people with long-term conditions throughout the Highlands and Islands.
The Scottish Government said: ‘She brings strategic insight, governance expertise, and a deep understanding of rural health challenges, alongside a strong focus on collaboration and inclusive service design.
‘Joanne is dedicated to shaping responsive, community-focused health and care services.'
The reappointment, which is regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner, will be for four years until 28 November 2029.
NHS Highland's catchment area comprises the largest and most sparsely populated part of the UK. It is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 320,000 people.
