The offering has been created by Hillbrow Health & Wellbeing, a partnership between leisure sites manager Wave Active and South Downs Health and Care, GP Federation.

Dr Nick Harvey, GP and chief executive of South Downs Health and Care, GP Federation, said: ‘Bringing clinical care and physical activity together under one roof is a major step forward for how we support people's health. Too much of healthcare still focuses on illness rather than prevention. MyHealth changes that by giving people easy access to high‑quality medical advice alongside the facilities and support that help them stay well in the first place. Hillbrow was created to show what a truly integrated approach can look like and this membership is another important milestone in making that vision real for our community.'

As part of the new membership, individuals receive up to six GP appointments each year with the flexibility to transfer consultations to family members when needed.

Duncan Kerr, chief executive of Wave Active and co‑founder of Hillbrow Health & Wellbeing, added: ‘This is the first time face‑to‑face clinical provision has been included within a comprehensive fitness package within the same health and wellbeing complex. It marks a fundamental shift towards our goal of uniting clinical and leisure professionals to improve the health of the local community. We're stronger together, more effective in partnership and we will achieve more as we continue to evolve this relationship. That is exactly what we are delivering at Hillbrow Health & Wellbeing.'
