King's Health Partners and South London and Maudsley appoint Prof Hotopf

Professor Matthew Hotopf has been appointed deputy executive director at King’s Health Partners and chief academic officer for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Prof Hotopf is a consultant liaison psychiatrist and executive dean at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. He is also a NIHR senior investigator and fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

Through his new roles, he will play a critical role in creating opportunities for effective clinical academic integration across the organisations' partners.

He will also play a vital role in ensuring mental health and an integrated mind and body approach to healthcare remains front and centre in senior leader decision-making.

Professor Matthew Hotopf said: 'I will work to ensure that KHP delivers on its promises to integrate mental and physical healthcare and ensure we deliver the best for our patients and communities across all programmes.'
