Head of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland ICB to retire

Caroline Trevithick, chief executive of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland ICB, is to retire.

Trevithick was first appointed as an interim chief after former ICB boss Andy Williams retired in 2023. Before that she was the ICB's chief nursing officer and has had a long career in nursing.

In her latest chief executive report, Trevithick said: ‘After a long deliberation, I have made the decision that the time is right for me to retire this summer. This is my 38th year working for the NHS.

‘My decision to retire is based on a combination of my personal circumstances and an acknowledgement that the NHS is about to embark on a new journey with the development of a new 10-year plan.'
