During his tenure, the trust has undertaken significant infrastructure updates, most notably the ongoing modernisation of the trust's estate and the successful transition to a new electronic patient record.

Aislinn O'Dwyer, chair of East Cheshire NHS Trust, said: ‘Ged has built a strong, high-calibre team and a workforce that is firmly committed to our mission of delivering outstanding care and improving the health of the people we serve.

‘These strengths place us in a strong position as we continue to take the trust into its next stage of development, working in partnership to provide high-quality, affordable and integrated services.'
