East Cheshire NHS Trust chief executive to retire

East Cheshire NHS Trust has announced that chief executive Ged Murphy will retire in July after five years of service.

During his tenure, the trust has undertaken significant infrastructure updates, most notably the ongoing modernisation of the trust's estate and the successful transition to a new electronic patient record.

Aislinn O'Dwyer, chair of East Cheshire NHS Trust, said: ‘Ged has built a strong, high-calibre team and a workforce that is firmly committed to our mission of delivering outstanding care and improving the health of the people we serve.

‘These strengths place us in a strong position as we continue to take the trust into its next stage of development, working in partnership to provide high-quality, affordable and integrated services.'
