Dr Amanjit Jhund appointed Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust chief executive

Whipps Cross Hospital chief executive Dr Amanjit Jhund has been appointed chief executive at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust later this year.

Dr Jhund has led Whipps Cross Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust, since July 2023.

Jackie Craissati, chair of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, said: ‘Amanjit brings a strong track record of leadership, improvement and collaboration, alongside a clear commitment to patients, staff and local communities.

‘He has led important service improvements within one of the country's busiest NHS organisations and brings valuable experience in innovation, operational delivery and partnership working.

‘We are delighted to welcome Amanjit to Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue building on our progress.'

Dr Jhund said: ‘I am delighted to be joining Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust at such a pivotal time. I'm looking forward to working with colleagues across the organisation and our partners in Kent and Medway to build on the strong foundations already in place. My focus will be on listening, learning and supporting teams so we can continue improving care for the communities we serve and create a clear, shared sense of direction for the future.'
