Moore started his NHS career in 1989 and has been in senior leadership positions in the NHS for more than 15 years.

John Govett, chair at NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly, said: ‘Returning to his home county of Devon for the past two years has brought his career full circle and he has decided that the time is now right to step back and return to his home in West Wales.

‘During his tenure Steve has contributed significantly to the ICB, including leading Devon out of NOF 4 oversight [financial and clinical] arrangements with NHSE and getting the Devon ICB board to agree to a new medium-term clinical strategy.'

Moore will leave Devon ICB on 31 January.
