Cumbria Health selects new chair

Cumbria Health has appointed Ed Tallis as its new chair.

Tallis has more than 30 years of experience in the health sector, including a distinguished career as a clinician, leadership roles in the NHS, and impactful positions with GlaxoSmithKline and Macmillan Cancer Support.

He said: 'My passion is about integrating services and organisations to deliver even greater things for people, and I look forward, very much, to working with the team at Cumbria Health.'

Susan Blakemore, chief executive of Cumbria Health, added: 'With his extensive NHS experience in Cumbria and beyond, Ed will be a tremendous ambassador for our organisation. His leadership and vision will help us drive forward change and continue to develop services that make a real impact in our communities. I'm confident that with Ed's guidance, we will reach new heights in our mission to improve health and well-being across the region.'

Tallis will succeed Ian Johnson in April.
